Deep conversation or not, it all depends on the relationship between you and the one(s) you try to engage in conversation with clever conversation starters.
Even the best questions and intentions are wasted on the wrong person.

Don’t ask your girlfriend any of these questions while the kids are screaming and you are preparing dinner. Make sure you both have space to focus on the question. If she can’t focus and you only listen with half an ear, it’s a waste of a great question.
